 Radio Gauge Pod with flip-down
OEM-style Radio Delete Faceplate
Everyone knows Toyota's gauges
leave something to be desired, but that doesn't mean you need to go hacking
up the dash or sticking aftermarket gauges all over your truck. This
pod will tuck three 1.5" gauges into your factory radio location and hide
them away when you feel like looking "stock" with a hinged cover molded
directly from the hard-to-find OEM radio delete plate.
The gauge pod and hinge arms
are CNC cut from 22ga. steel. Faceplate is an exact copy of the OEM
piece and is molded from dyed polyester resin.
Available two ways:
Plain (without gauges)
Fits any 1.5"-barrel gauge. Its true that 1.5" is not the most
common size, but that's what fits in the radio opening. Both Autometer
and Equus make gauges in this size, and probably other manufacturers as
well.
With Gauges
Comes with a set of three Equus brand gauges - Mechanical oil pressure,
mechanical water temperature, and voltmeter. I run these gauges in my
truck and like them - inexpensive and accurate. Comes with the BSPT
adapters you need, oil line, etc.

Installation Notes:
The gauge pod itself installs
using two existing holes in the lip along the bottom of the dash board, just
beyond the edges of the radio cutout. Please double check that you
have these holes before you order, as if not you'll have to drill (and I
hate drilling holes in my cruiser).
If you order the gauges,
you'll need to provide power for the backlights and the voltmeter.
You'll also need to run an oil line (included) from one of the unused plugs
in the block, and you'll need to route the sealed capillary tube for the
water temperature gauge to your head or Tstat housing. A 1/8" BSPT
fitting is included for the oil line, and a 1/2" NPT fitting for the water
temperature sender (1/2" NPT and BSPT are interchangeable).
